Neo Camp

Neo Camp

We had the opportunity to host two incredible youth camps in the past week, both from Mexicali. This is exciting because there are no retreat centers like ours in Mexicali, and we’re starting to serve a broader area. But it’s even more exciting because youth came to know Christ here.

At one of the services the speaker shared about how Naaman the leprous commander is one of the most relevant people to our time. Naaman, concerned more with appearances than his sickness, kept trying to live a normal life instead of acknowledging his leprosy. So often we’re the same way, hiding our sin underneath our armor like Naaman, not realizing that we have a fatal problem on our hands. He urged the youth to get the leprosy treated, to let Jesus truly heal them of all sin rather than pretending that everything is alright.

Later on in the day, 17 youth decided to get baptized! The high school pastor told me that a lot of the youth had been invited by friends, had only been going to church for about a month, and here they were: publicly declaring that they belong to Jesus.

God is immensely faithful, and we are blown away to see so many young people come for a fun youth camp and leave ready to follow Jesus in a new way.
