Missions
Our mission to reach Mexico for Christ extends beyond our campus and our local community. We strive to reach every corner of the nation with the powerful message of the Gospel.
The Challenge
There are 343 indigenous groups in Mexico (joshuaproject.net), and there are countless villages and whole people groups who have no testimony of the Gospel in their language. Additionally, most of these communities are among the poorest and most remote in the country, located in the high sierras in the center and south of the country.
Agua Viva's Threefold Role in Missions
Equipping Indigenous Leaders
We provide 100% scholarships at CECAM to train indigenous students. Our goal is for them to return to their communities, equipped to plant churches and share the Gospel in culturally relevant ways.
Supporting Dedicated Missionaries
We partner with missionaries working in the field through prayer, resources and financial support. We are focused on individuals and families who:
- Have completed Bible school training at Agua Viva or elsewhere.
- Have a sending church with healthy spiritual leadership.
- Are working in an indigenous community of Mexico.
- Are planting or leading a local church.
Making Disciples
Through teaching, events, and short-term trips, we raise awareness and mobilize the Mexican church to engage in missionary work. This includes hosting speakers and facilitating opportunities for hands-on involvement.
How You Can Make a Difference
- Prayer: Lift up our mission, communities, and missionaries in prayer for lasting impact.
- Financial Support: Your contributions to individual missionaries or our general missions fund directly empower effective ministry. Our unique support model starts at $400 USD monthly and decreases gradually over five years, fostering independence and sustainability.
Join us in bringing hope and the love of Christ to those who need it most in Mexico. Together, we can make a profound difference in lives and communities.
