Luis and Amelia Carrillo

Wixaricas, Jalisco.

Luis and Amelia are leaders of five churches among the Wixarica, also known as the Huichol people. In 2000, several families were imprisoned and subsequently expelled from their community for converting to Christianity. They descended from the mountains of Jalisco and settled near the town of Huejuquilla in northern Jalisco. Since then, the church has grown, with five additional churches planted as more people have come to faith.

Luis graduated from CECAM in 2012, followed by Amelia in 2013. As young leaders with a deep passion for sharing the Gospel, making disciples, and planting churches among the Wixarica people, they continue to inspire and guide many believers.
