Mario López

Cañon Buenavista, Baja California.

Ensenada draws in many migrant workers from southern Mexico who come to harvest the crops and work the fields in Baja for much better wages than they can earn back home. This creates an opportunity to share the Gospel with people who are outside of their villages and cultural settings which many times are closed to missionaries and churches.

Mario López is originally from the Triqui people group in Oaxaca, and he came to Baja to earn better wages. He heard the Gospel while he was in jail, and his life was transformed. He came to study in MTI and graduated in 2017. He is now a pastor in the very south of Ensenada in a neighborhood full of migrants. He is passionate about sharing the Gospel and making disciples.
