Reynaldo Romero
Mixteco people, Oaxaca.
Reynaldo Romero's journey of faith began unexpectedly when a vendor knocked on his door in his tiny Mixtec pueblo in the southern state of Oaxaca. Intrigued by the title "God's Not Dead" among the pirated DVDs, 16-year-old Ray decided to buy it.
The story captivated him deeply. He couldn't shake off the powerful message. Ray had never heard the Gospel before. Driven by curiosity and conviction, he searched online for the Bible, music, messages, and explanations. Alone, he made the decision to follow Jesus. Despite facing ridicule and mockery from others, Ray stood firm in his newfound faith.
One day, another knock on his door revealed a missionary, a graduate from CECAM, who began discipling him. Inspired by this guidance, Ray decided to pursue studies at Agua Viva. His ultimate goal is to plant a church in his hometown, sharing the message that transformed his life.
